Ice Ribbon is a Women pro wrestling promotion based in Warabi, Saitama, Japan, operating at a Regional level.
The ICE RIBBON promotion was founded on March 20, 2006 by Emi Sakura.
One of several joshi promotions formed in the aftermath of AJW’s demise in 2005, Ice Ribbon and its dojo was set up by Emi Sakura, a veteran talent of FMW/IWA Japan fame. Ice Ribbon was closely affiliated with NEO Women’s Pro Wrestling, until the latter’s demise in 2010, and was also affiliated with promotions Chikara and Pro-Wrestling: EVE.
Although not the most prominent joshi promotion of modern times, Ice Ribbon regularly holds its annual RibbonMania event at Korakuen Hall. The promotion has also had an outsized list of world class alumni in contrast to its size, being the early home for AEW world champions in Hikaru Shida and Riho, as well as Stardom legend and current WWE star Giulia.
