The championship was first established on March 10, 1985.
Officially called "Campeonato Nacional Mexicano de Trios" in spanish.
This championship is controlled by the Mexican Boxing and Wrestling Commission (Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre de México)
It is the governing body that sanctions national titles, CMLL, AAA and the mexican independent circuit, host the national titles under the administration of CBLLM.
This title is open only to mexican national wrestlers with very few exceptions.
This title is a open for teams of 3 wrestlers without a weight limit.
The current champion is Felino Jr., Stuka Jr & Cobarde, who won the title on June 16, 2025, and has been reigning for 335 days.
