The NJPW Young Lion Cup was a men's pro wrestling tournament held periodically by New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The competition was established on March 1, 1985, and the first edition was won by Shunji Kosugi, while the last edition took place on September 22, 2019 and was won by Karl Fredericks / Eddy Thorpe .
This was a tournament promoted by NJPW as a means of showcasing the younger talent on their roster (named "young lions"). The winner received the Young Lion Cup trophy, and was also rewarded with a learning excursion overseas.
