Mitsuharu Misawa (三沢 光晴) (born Mitsuharu Kotake (小竹 光晴)) was born in Yubari, Hokkaido, Japan on June 18, 1962.

He died on June 13, 2009 at the age of 46.

Mitsuharu Misawa is a 8-time World Champion, and has won a total of 20 championships in major promotions during his career.

He was the founder of Pro Wrestling NOAH, and is known for being one of AJPW's Four Heavenly Pillars in the 1990s, which had tremendous influence on indie wrestlers abroad in the Anglosphere for years after.
He was the second incarnation of the Tiger Mask character.
