On this page, you find the full Title History for the AJPW World Tag Team Championship, with all Championship Info, Statistics, the Belt Design changes through the years, and the full list of Title Reigns, along with dates, events, and reign durations.
The AJPW World Tag Team Championship is contested in All Japan Pro Wrestling, by men wrestlers.
The championship was first established on June 10, 1988, and the inaugural champions were Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu.
The AJPW World Tag Team Championship is represented by the two original unified belts: the PWF Tag Team Championship and the NWA International Tag Team Championship.
Both belts were used for over 50 years; the strap had faded, and the plates were rusty and damaged.
In 2025, both belts were renewed with the same designs and slight modern touches.
The NWA International Tag Team Championship and PWF World Tag Team Championship were previously unified into this championship.
The current champions are the team of Titans of Calamity (Talos & Ren Ayabe), who won the title on January 2, 2026, and have been reigning for 135 days.
