The NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship was contested in NWA Championship Wrestling America, National Wrestling Alliance, Jim Crockett Promotions and NWA Mid-America, by men wrestlers.

The championship was first established on May 6, 1955, and the inaugural champion was Pat O'Connor.

The NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Championship was retired on December 1, 1998.

A similar championship, the WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Championship, has been later introduced, which does not share the lineage with this title.

The current champion is the team of Deactivated ( ), who won the title on December 1, 1998, and has been reigning for 10162 days (Championship abandoned in December 1998 without a formal announcement.).
