Ultimate Pro Wrestling was a Indie and Developmental pro wrestling promotion operating in the United States, based in Santa Ana, California.

The ULTIMATE PRO WRESTLING promotion was founded on January 1, 1998 by Rick Bassman, and it ceased operations on January 27, 2007.

Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW) was founded by Rick Bassman in 1998 as an independent promotion in the Southern California (SoCal) region, affiliated with the Ultimate University wrestling school. Loosely affiliated with the WWF in its early years, UPW was an unofficial talent scout of the company for several years, before officially partnering in July 2006. They were also affiliated with Pro Wrestling Zero1, and Hustle. 

Although not notable for its events, UPW is remembered today for its world class alumni of talent, such as Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels. Most famously, UPW is where a young John Cena began his career as the blonde, mohawked “Prototype” character.
