Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is a Major pro wrestling promotion operating in the United States, based in Nashville, Tennesee, USA.
The TNA promotion was founded on May 10, 2002 by Jeff Jarrett, Jerry Jarrett, Bob Ryder.
TNA initially operated under the name NWA: Total Nonstop Action, affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). It rebranded as TNA Wrestling in 2004 after parting ways with the NWA and later became Impact Wrestling in 2017 following its purchase by Anthem. In January 2024, the promotion officially returned to the TNA branding.
TNA was once considered the second-largest wrestling promotion in the U.S., behind WWE, during the 2000s and early 2010s. It featured prominent former WWE, WCW, and ECW talent, as well as homegrown stars like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. However, TNA faced significant challenges from 2015 to 2017, including losing its U.S. television contract with Spike TV and experiencing financial difficulties.
Despite these setbacks, the promotion recovered by 2019, aided by Anthem's acquisition of AXS TV, which now airs its programming. Currently, TNA is viewed as the third-largest wrestling promotion in the U.S., following the rise of All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
