  @Weasly Weasly FYM didn't know what to do with him? The man was 2 MID-CARD (not WORLD TITLES) away from being a triple crown. They literally tried to make him Kurt Angle II. HIS ENTIRE GIMMICK FROM 2009-2012 WAS BEING FAKE KURT ANGLE DAWG LOL! The only thing that stopped him from main eventing was his inability to get over with the crowd. The crowd didn't care for him and also once he cashed in his personality and promos turned into spaghetti. No more pushups, no more pyro. All gone. WWE was gonna make him feud with Cena most likely and win that sweet spinner that didn't spin.. but yeah, didn't happen.

  Hager/Swagger couldn't get the crowd behind him because of many reasons - none of which were his fault. He was a victim of stupid gimmick after stupid gimmick - like being lumbered with the absurd Swagger Soaring Eagle mascot. He also fell prey to Vince McMahon's stop/start booking. He went from looking like an unstoppable monster and beating Randy Orton 1-2-3, to jobbing to the likes of Santino Marella, Zack Ryder and R-Truth. Then within months he was challenging Alberto Del Rio for a world title!
  
  Time and again, Hager's momentum and credibility were taken away. He was sabotaged CONSTANTLY.
  
  If he'd come to WWE under Triple H's regime, we'd be talking about him differently than we do now. A lot differently.
