Tama originally won the titles with Jacob Fatu, but Bloodline leader Solo Sikoa had Fatu relinquish his half of the title to fellow group member Loa on August 23's SmackDown episode so that Fatu could be Sikoa's personal enforcer.
This was a Six-Pack Ladder Match for both the Raw Tag Team Championship and the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, with both sets of titles hung separately.
On the May 20, 2022 episode of SmackDown, The Usos defeated Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro in a Winner Takes All match. The titles remained independently active, but were collectively defended on any brand as the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship.
As a result of the 2020 WWE Draft, The New Day were drafted to Raw while then-Raw Tag Team Champions The Street Profits were drafted to SmackDown. To keep the branded championships on their respective brands, the two teams exchange championships.
This was a triple threat match between Big E Langston representing The New Day, Jey Uso representing The Usos, and The Mizrepresenting himself and John Morrison / John Hennigan. During this reign, Woods was inactive due to injury, but was credited for this reign under the Freebird Rule.
As a result of the 2016 WWE draft, the WWE Tag Team Championship became exclusive to Raw; in response, SmackDown established the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. Slater and Rhyno defeated The Usos in the finals of a tournament to become the inaugural champions.
