The championship was first established on July 18, 1992, and the inaugural champions were "Dr. Death" Steve Williams & Terry Gordy.
This is a newer version of the WCW World Tag Team Championship, with its own distinct lineage.
Air dates are used as the dates for title changes.
The current champions are the team of The Country Gentlemen (AJ Cazana and KC Cazana), who won the title on March 3, 2026, and have been reigning for 67 days.
